Montreal B’nai Brith food Baskets Inc. was established in 1947 by Maple Leaf Lodge, for the delivery of  food baskets to those less fortunate, and has become an extremely important part of our community. From the 100 or so baskets delivered in the early years, the number of baskets is expected to rise to over 4000 this year.

Unfortunately, over the years, the needs of the community continues to grow. There are continual increases in the number of families barely able to sustain themselves in times of economic crisis.

There are more needy elderly than ever before and the amount of children living in poverty, and hunger, has escalated.

Kosher food is also provided throughout the year to Generations Foundation, MADA, Sun Youth as well as other organizations.

Montreal B'nai Brith Food Baskets Inc. is an independent organization. Our entire program is coordinated and run by volunteers, so that every penny raised is spent on purchasing the necessary food and provisions to ensure uniformity in all the products.

We count on cummunity support to assist us in helping the less fortunate and make this program a success. We also encourage the community to donate funds to help finance this necessary and very important project as well as to come and volunteer with the packing and delivery of these baskets.
